MQ-7 sensor features. The MQ-7 sensor has high sensitivity to carbon monoxide. The gas sensing layer on the sensor unit is made of Tin dioxide (SnO2), which has lower conductivity in clean air. The conductivity increases as the levels of Carbon monoxide rise. The detection range of the sensor is 20ppm-2000ppm of CO. Calibrating the sensor
The MQ-7 carbon monoxide sensor is especially designed to be sensitive to carbon monoxide (CO) gas which is emitted by vehicles, factories, etc. Since this gas is considered toxic to humans at certain levels, concentration of CO is used to determine the air pollution in a given area. the MQ-7, ordinate means resistance ratio of the sensor characteristics. Ordinate means resistance ratio (Rs/Ro), abscissa is concentration of gases. Rs means of the sensor (Rs/Ro), Rs means resistance of sensor resistance in different gases, Ro means resistance of in 100ppm CO under different tem. and humidity.

29/03/2014· I fabricated a sensor array with MQ-3 / MQ-4 / MQ-7 / MQ-8. So, when I test my system with Ethanol, the MQ-7 is really sensitive .. ! But on the MQ-7 datasheet, we can clearly see that, normaly, this sensor have a small sensitivity for Alcohol. Then, I wondered if you have an idea to figure out this problem. Thanks for your time, Charles Chatard
The carbon monoxide sensor we will use is the MQ-7 sensor. This is a sensor that is sensitive to effects of CO. Carbon monoxide (CO) is a very dangerous gas which is odorless, colorless, and tasteless, so it cannot be smelt, seen, or tasted.

Today I also expect your feedback, but only of a positive nature: with the MQ-7 carbon monoxide gas sensor and the matching PCB from Pololu, analog measurement using the ADC from the Arduino is no longer a problem. I followed the recommendation to use a 10KOhm resistor and soldered the MQ7 to the PCB. It doesn't matter which side and how around (you have 4 options), because no polarity. 5V, …

31/01/2017· According to MQ-7 datasheet, sensor has to run through high- and low-heating cycles in order to get proper measurements. During low temperature phase, CO is absorbed on the plate, producing meaningful data. During high temperature phase, absorbed CO and other compounds evaporate from the sensor plate, cleaning it for the next measurement.
